Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most abundant non-intoxicating compound of the cannabis plant.

1.       What exactly is CBD?

Cannabidiol (CBD) is the most abundant non-intoxicating compound of the cannabis plant. Cannabidiol can be found as an isolate, meaning it is the only compound from the cannabis plant and will not contain any other cannabinoids, flavonoids or terpenes. However, cannabidiol is generally best when it comes from a high-quality full spectrum extract which will include some of the other terpenes, flavonoids and cannabinoids. You can guarantee a product is high quality by having lab results that have been tested for contaminants. The lab results should show that they are free from pesticides, herbicides, fungicides, residual solvents, microbials, mold and any other contaminants that are being tested.

2.       What are the benefits of daily supplementation of CBD?

CBD is a potent anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, neuroprotective, anticonvulsant, antibacterial, bone stimulant and reduces anxiety. The list goes on from there. The question really should be, why aren’t you taking CBD as a daily supplement! The great benefit with CBD is that it helps provide balance to your body. Whether it’s an excess or deficiency in your body, CBD acts as a regulator to provide exactly what your body needs. That is why cannabis and CBD have tremendous amounts of therapeutic benefits that can help people and animals alike, suffering from a variety of conditions.

3.       Why take CBD as a proactive/ preventative medicine?

There are a variety of toxins in the environment, water and food we consume that are causing people to get sicker as time goes on.  Currently the medical system is about reaction instead of prevention. Instead of waiting until you feel ill and have a need for medical attention. It is more beneficial to be an active participant in your health. It will save you mentally, physically and financially in the long run to take any preventative steps that you can. CBD is shown to have numerous benefits that we have already gone over. Adding CBD to your daily regimen along with healthy lifestyle choices is part of being a proactive participant in your own life.
